Submissions for Conference and Institute Call for Papers
All continuing education program submissions are assessed by volunteer ALSC committees to ensure quality, timely and relevant presentations from accomplished scholars and practitioners in the field of library service to children; in addition to event- or online-learning-specific rubrics, these committees use the ALSC Core Competencies for Librarians Serving Children, which is the foundational professional document for librarians serving children and families in their community, to guide their review process. For information on how to write a quality program proposal, please see this from a former Program Coordinating Committee chair!
Topics of current interest to ALSC members include:
- Age-specific programming
- Early Literacy (research and best practices)
