Award Seals may be used on the cover of the print and e-book versions of winning titles and may be purchased or licensed in sticker and digital form for a fee.

Award Seals may only be placed on the media that originally won the award. For example, an audiobook of a Newbery winning book should not carry a Newbery seal.

Publishers may use the full cover of the award-winning title with the Award Seal on it in advertising, marketing, and promotion as long as the full cover is shown. Award Seals may not be used as a stand-alone feature in any advertising, marketing, promotion, or on any merchandise.

Award seal images must be removed from all files prior to sending them to other departments, imprints, or third-party entities for use on other media.

Publishers that provide any translation rights, sublicense rights, or distribution rights to any third party, including agents, publishers, affiliates, and distributors in foreign jurisdictions must notify those parties that they may not use the Award Seals on their editions unless they obtain authorization from 91´«Ã½.
