ALSC at 91´«Ã½ Midwinter Meeting
The 91´«Ã½ Midwinter Meeting, generally held in January, draws more than 10,000 leaders in the library and information industry for some 2,000 meetings and events. About 450 exhibits feature the latest in books, videos, computers and other materials. Also announced at Midwinter Meeting are the winners of the year's Youth Media Awards, such as the Newbery and Caldecott Awards.

ALSC National Institute
The is a two and a half day learning opportunity focused solely on youth services librarianship. Smaller than an 91´«Ã½ Annual Conference with only 300 attendees, the Institute is a great place to network with colleagues, attend practical child-focused programs, and meet the authors/illustrators you know and love. It's designed for front-line library staff, children's literature experts, education and library school faculty and other interested adults.

Community Forums
ALSC hosts quarterly online forums for members called . During the Community Forum members can chat live with members of the ALSC Board and the ALSC President. Members who cannot participate in the live chat can post questions and comments on the 91´«Ã½ Connect discussion board. A transcript is also provided after the chat is finished.
