Libraries need to raise public awareness about the E-Government services they provide. They need to determine goals and objectives and identify target audiences. Those audiences include people who could use the services, referring organizations and individuals, policy makers at the national, state, and local levels responsible for funding and participation, potential service partners, local businesses, schools, organizations, and government agencies, volunteers, community leaders, library users, library staff, and the general public. The library community needs to develop a set of key messages about library E-Government services that resonate with its various audiences.
