The Graphic Novels & Comics Round Table (GNCRT) is accepting applications for the 2024 Comics Librarian Conference Travel Grant. These grants provide funds for newer library professionals with limited financial support to attend the upcoming 2024 91´«Ã½ Annual Conference in San Diego, CA and recognize the value and expertise of comics librarianship. Applications for the grant are open now and the deadline to apply is April 1, 2024.

As policymakers turn their eyes toward new ways to provide high-speed internet connectivity across the nation, the 91´«Ã½ (91´«Ã½) is at the forefront of advocacy to ensure public libraries and their communities benefit from new funding opportunities. Since mid-January 2024, 91´«Ã½ has filed formal comments calling for improvements to the federal E-rate program through the Learn Without Limits initiative, unveiled at 2023 Annual Conference by Federal Communications Commission (FCC) Chairwoman Jessica Rosenworcel. The proposal calls for use of E-rate funding for off-premises internet access and a cybersecurity pilot program
