91´«Ã½ announces applications for second year of the Building Library Capacity Grants
The 91´«Ã½ (91´«Ã½) announces the opening of the second year of the 91´«Ã½ Building Library Capacity Grants that will provide grants to libraries serving incarcerated persons or assisting those re-entering society. Up to sixteen $10,000 grants will be given to successful applicants nationwide. The application site is open now. The application deadline is April 12, 2024, with awards announced at the end of May.
ACRL 2025 Call for Proposals Now Available
ACRL invites proposals for the ACRL 2025 Conference to be held April 2-5, 2025, in Minneapolis and online. ACRL 2025 features eight session formats to suit a wide range of presentation and learning styles. Contributed paper, panel session, and workshop proposals are due June 7, 2024.

The National Climate Action Strategy Working Group, a joint project of the Sustainable Libraries Initiative (SLI) and the 91´«Ã½ (91´«Ã½), is planning an open forum to introduce a draft Climate Action Strategy for Libraries to 91´«Ã½ members and to solicit feedback from the field. The open forum will be held on Thursday, March 14th, at 1 p.m. CT.
91´«Ã½ awards $3.6 million in library accessibility funding to 310 small and rural libraries
The 91´«Ã½ (91´«Ã½) today announced the second round of recipients of its Libraries Transforming Communities (LTC): Accessible Small and Rural Communities grant, an initiative to help small and rural libraries increase the accessibility of facilities, services and programs to better serve people with disabilities. The 310 funded proposals represent 45 U.S. states. Of the selected libraries, 62 percent serve communities of less than 5,000 people.
