Many technologies have helped librarians enhance teaching and have played a key role in instruction to our remote users. Examples include digital cameras, courseware, chat, webcasting, and video conferencing. While some technologies have helped facilitate learning, others have created new barriers. Join the TLT Committee in a lively discussion on the issues that arise when technology is used to enhance instruction to remote users.
Transitions to College Discussion Forum
Sunday, January 26 2:00 - 4:00 PM
Pennsylvania Convention Center Room 204C
Students transitioning from high school or community college to four-year institutions are especially vulnerable to academic frustration as they are often overwhelmed by larger campuses and larger libraries. Distance learning programs and service hour reductions due to financial constraints are just a couple of the reasons public, school, and academic librarians are sharing the same clientele now more than ever before. Join this discussion forum for an opportunity to brainstorm, share concerns, and create strategies to achieve our common goal of information literacy support for all our patrons.
