GNCRT Volunteer F.A.Q.

Q. What do I need to know in order to volunteer for GNCRT?

A. Before you complete the volunteer form please take some time to look at how we work and some of the projects we've done so far. You can start by:

  • Reading the GNCRT Bylaws
  • Read the
  • Review our Annual Reports
  • Watch some of our past webinars (we recommend checking out at least three)
  • Catch up on some of our basic volunteer training (91´«Ã½ Connect and Social Media Training)

Q. What is GNCRT looking for in volunteers?

A. We really need volunteers with ideas who have the time and energy to execute them. We look to our volunteers to share and discuss ideas for what the round table should be working on (resources, programming, tools, etc.) and help to bring those ideas to life. Please check out the individual Committee listings below to get a sense of the kind of work each Committee does.

Q. Do I have to be a GNCRT Member to volunteer?

A. You do need to be a GNCRT Member in order to serve on a committee. There are some situations where membership is not required for some short-term or conventions / conference related projects.

Q. How might I benefit by volunteering with GNCRT?

A. GNCRT is a dynamic group that provides great networking opportunities, professional project experience, and looks great on resumes and applications. Participating with GNCRT is rewarding, challenging, and fun all at the same time!

Q. What are the main platforms the Committees use to complete their work?

A. For official Committee work, all Committees have a dedicated, private space with 91´«Ã½ Connect. Members will need to learn to use 91´«Ã½ Connect to communicate during their term, and can use email to post or post on site at 91´«Ã½ Connect. For more informal discussions and social meet ups, the GNCRT has established private channels in our Discord Community for each Committee to use.
