I appreciate the variety of programming, from theory to practice. It allows me to expand my thinking and cultivate opportunities to transfer those ideas to my work environment and service philosophy.

The best part about working as an academic library is being in an environment where creating and questioning ideas is a given. As a librarian, I love being a part of the process by promoting and procuring resources to facilitate knowledge production. Working in a curriculum library gives me the opportunity to learn and work in multiple worlds: with researchers, students, practitioners, and the university community. I also get to play. For example, I dabble in picture books and math manipulatives to help pre-service, yet also understand the best practice to use from theory.
