I value ACRL for all the assistance I have received from colleagues. Several times I have asked questions on social media pages and received multiple, excellent responses in a short period of time. It is amazing to see the expertise and experience that all of these individuals possess and are willing to freely share with everyone around them.

I connect users to resources they need in support of their educational and personal goals, and the goals of the university as a whole. I collaborate with colleagues to create programs and collections that serve not only our campus, but our community and region as well.

I love seeing a person's eyes light up when they learn something new! My ultimate career goal was to be a teacher, but circumstances kept that from coming to fruition. God ultimately threw librarianship in my path of life, so I took it and ran with it, and it has continued to allow me to see that light in people's eyes as they learn something. As a librarian I have found talents and skills that I did not know I possessed, and I am forever thankful that I have a career that I love and continues to be a joy for me each day.
