I'm currently reading "How to be a Victorian" by Ruth Goodman! It's a fascinating guide on what the average day for a Victorian man and woman would be, from when they first wake up to when they go to bed. I'm a huge fan of skincare and cosmetics, and my favorite chapter goes into Victorian grooming rituals.
Engaging, professional, collaborative.

I'm very grateful for ACRL for giving librarians the opportunity to engage with other librarians based on topics relevant to the profession. I recently joined the History Librarians Interest Group as the Incoming Convener, and it's been a wonderful experience so far collaborating with other librarians to offer the community programming they can be excited to attend.

As the first Scholarly Communications Librarian at Excelsior, I am responsible for creating and managing the university's OER publishing platform and institutional repository. Alongside my amazing team, I provide reference services for students and faculty. I am also an instructor for the university's information literacy course.

When I was attending library school, I knew academic librarianship was the perfect path for me. It's been almost 10 years since I graduated and that sentiment still holds true! My career has allowed me to pursue my own research while helping others explore their passion. I got to co-author my first OER textbook in 2022, and I am currently working on a second with my colleague. I regularly promote teaching with primary sources and information literacy. Academic librarianship is a very rewarding career, and I am very proud to be a part of this amazing profession!
