I don’t have any specific go-to-reading unfortunately, but I am reading many academic research papers particularly related entertainment media use in second language acquisition and teaching.
Innovative, Resourceful, Community.
I felt that participating in a learning community of academic and research librarianship is beneficial to gain up-to-date information and to learn about various projects.
Utilizing my interdisciplinary background, I would like to research and teach in academia being a bridge between the fields of library science and education/second language acquisition. Also, as I have served as an intern in Learning Games Initiative Research Archive where games and game-related/themed items are archived, I am interested in being part of a game archive project, too. ACRL will be a great platform in networking and being familiar with up-to-date information in libraries.
I think the roles of an academic library have been expanding in the way that the library is a mediator for collaborations across colleges and departments within a university.
