The Science and Technology Section has been my professional home since becoming an academic librarian. Its given me the chance to collaborate with colleagues from around the country in a way that would be impossible otherwise. The leadership opportunities I've had since joining have helped shape my career and its awesome to be able to help new librarians in the same ways I was when I joined.

We help our patrons discover, navigate, and engage with the ever expanding scientific information and data world they live in. That can be helping a freshman get started finding the single reference they need for a paper to a seasoned researcher looking to publish their work in new ways. We're there for them at any point in their research and learning journey to help. My job is to make sure our science librarians have everything they need to thrive in providing that support.

Science librarianship has allowed me to indulge my intellectual curiosity everyday. Even better, I've been able to use that curiosity, and my own expertise, to help students and researchers in their work.
