I cannot – It depends on the day and who I am working with.

I just finished by Robert Waldinger & Marc Schulz. A good read to help understand and develop relationships.
I cannot. ACRL covers so many positive aspects of librarianship that just using three word to describe it and its value would be an injustice.

I value the relationships and networking that allow me to give and receive support when and as needed.

I don’t directly contribute to campus. My role is to provide data for others to use to describe their value and to make data-based decisions to improve library operations. Library operations make the teaching, learning, and research on campus better.

The 21 years spent teaching in the K-12 school system in Alberta, Canada provided a strong foundation for my assessment practice. Upon completion of my doctorate in educational evaluation, I started working at BYU’s library and have not looked back. As much as I loved teaching, I love assessment and the improvement it leads to more. The educational and learning opportunities are limitless. The opportunity to help and serve others is endless. It warms the cockles of my heart to see assessment data put into action to improve the teaching, learning, and research experiences of others.
