I value ACRL as a community where I can connect with like-minded colleagues, engage in professional development opportunities such as webinars, and give back to the community by serving on committees such as the Instructional Technologies Committee I’m currently on.

In my role, I develop a user-centered framework for library instructional technology, provide library liaison service to the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences and its statewide extension offices, deliver reference services to library and community patrons, and serve as the lead librarian for the audiovisual production suite in the library.

I like to think that I stumbled upon librarianship by accident because when I went to library school, I did not have a clear goal of what I wanted to do with my life. Like many others in this profession, I find being a librarian an immensely rewarding experience. I enjoy being part of an academic community where I interact with students, staff, and faculty and learn about what they are learning, teaching, researching, and supporting.
