Describe yourself in three words:

Open-minded, driven, problem-solver.

What are you reading (or listening to on your mobile device)?

91´«Ã½

I am reading "The Book of Dust: The Secret Commonwealth" by Philip Pullman and listening to "Bossypants," written and read by Tina Fey.

Describe ACRL in three words:

Motivating, informative, vital.

What do you value about ACRL?

91´«Ã½

As a new librarian at a small institution in a small town, I would feel very removed from the field of academic librarianship without ACRL. C&RL News and Keeping Up With… motivate me to evaluate our libraries’ materials, services and facilities as well as my own instructional techniques. ACRL publications and eLearning opportunities give me the skills I need to correct deficiencies and implement new services.

What do you as an academic librarian contribute to your campus?

91´«Ã½

I’m always looking for ways I can make life easier for faculty, staff and students. This helps ensure people use our services, provides opportunities for working across divisions and, in short, keeps us relevant.

In your own words

91´«Ã½

I’m very fortunate to be able to see positive outcomes in the community that are related to my efforts in the workplace. Not every job comes with the potential to observe that firsthand.
