About

91´«Ã½

Lenore England has established a record of scholarship, service and creative leadership that embodies the spirit of this award. Her planning and communication skills have contributed to successes of two statewide consortia, the Maryland Digital Library and the University System of Maryland and Affiliated Institutions (USMAI), where she led its working subgroup, the Electronic Collections Task Group (ECTG). England was tapped to lead the migration of USMAI’s 16 instances of the SFX to a hosted server at ExLibris. She has shared with the profession by publishing in the peer-reviewed Journal of Electronic Resource Librarianship and recently presented nationally on the advantages of the application of a simpler approach utilizing the flexible and cost-effective tool of a checklist to manage ERM workflow, resulting in increased efficiencies in workflow, improved communications and a significant reduction in database access issues at the beginning of each fiscal year. Her body of work speaks to the vision coupled with the multi-faceted approach necessary for sustained success in the ever-evolving field of electronic resources management.
