Rangashri Kishore is the 1999 recipient of the ASCLA Exceptional Service Award presented by the Association of Specialized and Cooperative Library Agencies. Ms. Kishore is the librarian at the UNICEF in New Delhi. The chair of the award committee, Neil Kelley, stated that “We are pleased to recognize Ms. Kishore's dedication to the role libraries play in serving the mentally ill and her role in establishing two halfway houses, one in Bangalore in 1993, the other soon to be running in New Delhi.”
