In February 1836, General Santa Anna led the Mexican Army to the town of San Antonio de Bexar, where they fought and massacred almost all of the men holed up inside the complex of the Alamo Mission defending the newly formed territory of Texas from Santa Anna’s attempts to reclaim it for Mexico.
