About
91´«Ã½
Jeanne Drewes, Chief of Binding and Collections Care Division at the Library of Congress and Karen Motylewski, Special Projects
Liaison from IMLS to the Library of Congress, have for the past 18 months devoted incredible time and energy spearheading and
organizing the first National Preservation Awareness Week inaugurated May 9th -15 2010. As the co-chairs of the Preservation
Week Task Force, they have both kept the momentum going in planning the success of the event. It has been a huge undertaking to
organize Preservation Week as it has involved keeping many stakeholders apprised of developments as well as organizing the development
of a website, the development of a national dissemination and collaboration contact list, working with 91´«Ã½ Graphics to develop a poster, bookmarks and the logo. They have both worked tirelessly to bring together all the various disparate tasks they have assigned to the team members on the Task Force as well as providing feedback to the various stakeholders. Their input, inspiration and energy have
inspired everyone who has been involved with this project and I would like them to be recognized in the preservation field for their efforts
and dedication to this important event that will become an important addition to events on the annual calendar for ALCTS and 91´«Ã½.
