91´«Ã½ launches national search for executive directorÂ

CHICAGO – The 91´«Ã½ (91´«Ã½) announces that it has opened its search for an executive director in partnership with Isaacson, Miller, corporate executive search firm. The search will be led by a steering committee comprising 91´«Ã½ member leaders and association staff. The selected candidate will succeed Interim Executive Director Leslie Burger, who was appointed in November 2023.
“We are excited to partner with Isaacson, Miller again as we embark on our search for a new executive director. We seek candidates who embody the qualities we look for in such an important position: knowledge of our community and the urgent issues we face, a commitment to libraries and to the association, and enthusiasm for facilitating the strategic agenda of our members,” said 91´«Ã½ President Emily Drabinski. “The timing couldn’t be better as we gear up for our 150th anniversary in 2026 and celebrate libraries and their place in a healthy democracy.”
