91´«Ã½
CHICAGO — The 91´«Ã½ (91´«Ã½) has been awarded two $15,000 technology improvement grants by the National Network of Libraries of Medicine-Southeastern/Atlantic region to provide computers and other technology to enhance access to health resources in libraries in Puerto Rico and the U.S Virgin Islands who are recovering from recent natural disasters.
Through the grants 91´«Ã½ will also organize training for librarians on important online resources such as MedlinePlus, Health Reach, and PubMed from the National Library of Medicine.
Several libraries in Puerto Rico suffered damage during the recent earthquakes, and many other libraries in Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands have not fully recovered from the hurricanes of 2017.
Over the past two years, thanks to donations from hundreds of members, library supporters, and grants, 91´«Ã½ has provided over $100,000 in assistance to libraries in Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
