LLAMA Webinar will explore how to sustain change after the excitement wears off

CHICAGO — Change management is more than just a buzzword in libraries these days. For many library leaders it has become a way of life requiring not only the ability to create change, but the ability to sustain a culture of innovation and change long-term.
The Library Leadership and Management Association (LLAMA) will present “Are we there yet? How to Keep Organizational Momentum Going After the Excitement of Change Is Over,” on Wednesday, March 22, from 1:30 – 3 p.m. (Central time). This webinar will provide practical information about the day-to-day decision making and concrete activities required to achieve and sustain organizational change.
By the end of this webinar, participants will learn:
- How to continue fostering internal change management after the organization has "changed"
- How to build partnerships outside the library that are vital for leveraging institutional resources and collaborative opportunities
- How to promote innovation and creativity on a systemic level
- How to measure the impact of this work
Who Should Attend: Library administrators, department heads, or those in positions responsible for leading change management efforts
Presenter: Cinthya Ippoliti is the associate dean for research and learning services at Oklahoma State University, where she provides administrative leadership for the library’s academic liaison program as well as services for graduate and undergraduate students.
