Arianna Huffington Announced as Speaker for PLA 2016 Conference

CHICAGO — The Public Library Association (PLA) is pleased to announce Arianna Huffington, the chair, president and editor-in-chief of the Huffington Post Media Group, and author of 14 books, as an Adult Author Lunch Speaker at the , April 5-9 in Denver.
In May 2005, Huffington launched The Huffington Post, a news and blog site that quickly became one of the most widely-read, linked to and frequently-cited media brands on the Internet. In 2012, the site won a Pulitzer Prize for national reporting. Her 14th book, "Thrive: The Third Metric to Redefining Success and Creating a Life of Well-Being, Wisdom, and Wonder," debuted at No. 1 on the New York Times Bestseller list and was released in paperback in March 2015. Huffington's new book, on the science, history and mystery of sleep, will be published in April 2016.
Offered biennially, the is the premier event for public libraries, drawing librarians, library support staff, trustees, friends and library vendors from across the country and around the world. Registration opens September 15, 2015.
