AASL offers webinar on iTunes U and the school librarian

CHICAGO – Participants will explore the largest repository of free content in the world through the lens of the school librarian in the newest webinar from the American Association of School Librarians (AASL). Presented by school librarian and Apple Distinguished Educator Cheryl Boes, “iTunes U & You: Digital Content in the School Library” will take place at 6 p.m. Central on Thursday, March 5. Boes will demonstrate how iTunes U has revolutionized the way educators create, share and engage with students. Participants will investigate a variety of collections from K-12 & higher education institutions and learn how to curate content specific to school curricula. Participants will also be introduced to building a course, uploading content and engaging in online discussions using an iPad, Mac or PC.

Cheryl Boes is a school librarian who shares her love of literature through engaging lessons that incorporate technology. She has 20 years of experience in the classroom and media center with Utica Community Schools, the second largest district in Michigan. As an Apple Distinguished Educator, Cheryl presents at local, state and national conferences.
