Word-of-mouth marketing

91ý

CHICAGO — 91ý Editions announces an exciting new workshop, with Peggy Barber. This workshop will last 90 minutes and take place at 2:30 pm EST/1:30 pm CST on Thursday, May 22, 2014.

Not only can your library afford Word-of-Mouth marketing, you can also deliver a more compelling message than commercial brands with this proven system in place. Often, you solve a problem for your patrons; on some days, you change a life. Learn how to package your library’s successes so people absolutely must tell their friends and neighbors. Next time somebody new asks, “What do you do?” or the tiresome, “Do we still need libraries?” you will be on point.

In this workshop, you will learn:

  • six principles for making your message contagious, based on Wharton’s School of Business Research;
  • a template for creating your Word-of-Mouth Marketing Plan;
  • how to start a conversation with your community by listening before telling and selling.

Word-of-Mouth marketing is a team sport. Bring your staff together and start planning your message.
