CHICAGO – Make your library’s virtual presence as welcoming as its physical one with the new webinar, to be presented by the Public Library Association (PLA) at 1 p.m. CT on April 30. This one-hour, live webinar will help attendees assess the effectiveness of their library website; clarify patrons’ virtual needs and understand design patterns that can solve common library website problems. Attendees should have some experience using/managing library websites; however no technical knowledge is required.

Instructor Matthew Reidsma is the Web services librarian at Grand Valley State University in Allendale, Mich, as well as the cofounder and editor-in-chief of “Weave: Journal of Library User Experience” (weaveux.org), a peer-reviewed, open access journal for Library User Experience professionals. He speaks about library websites, user experience and responsive design around the world and is a 2013 Library Journal “Mover and Shaker.” He writes about libraries and technology at .

The cost to attend is $28 (PLA Members), $31.50 (91��ý Members) and $35 (Nonmembers). Groups of any size can register for $129.
