Library fundraising secrets revealed at 'Raising $: Process and People' preconference at 91ý Annual

PHILADELPHIA - Peter Pearson raises millions of dollars for the St. Paul (Minn.) Public Library, and he will reveal how other groups can too at “Raising $: Process and People,” a preconference with LLAMA and United for Libraries at the 91ý Annual Conference in Chicago.
Join Pearson, along with other renowned library fundraisers such as Cleveland’s Felton Thomas and Tulsa’s Gary Shaffer, who will share fundraising secrets and successes, along with tips for creating and working productively with library foundations.
Ideal for both novices and experts looking for new energy and ideas, this preconference will outline components of successful fundraising with interactive sessions. Panel sessions will include capital campaigns, how to identify potential donors, and building effective relationships with friends and foundations. During speed consulting, attendees will receive answers by the pros on topics such as planned giving, starting a foundation, annual fund drives, board recruitment, and understanding members versus donors.
