Strategize with social media @ your library in YALSA’s September webinar

CHICAGO — Social media is here to stay. Whether your library regularly communicates with teens through Facebook, Twitter or a blog or if you are just establishing such a presence, a social media policy is a key to your success. To learn how a social media policy can help you reach teens and advocate for services in your library, join the Young Adult Library Services Association (YALSA) for its Sept. 15 webinar, “Tweet, Like, Link: Creating a Social Media Policy for Your Library.” This webinar will be presented by Linda Braun on Sept. 15 at 2 p.m. EDT.

In this webinar Linda, an educational consultant for Librarians and Educators Online, will explain what a social media policy is, why it's important to have one, what the policy should include, how the policy can help you support teens and how you can use the policy as an advocacy tool.
