CHICAGO — Drew Brees, quarterback for the New Orleans Saints, is the latest star to join the Celebrity READ Campaign. Developed in anticipation of the 91´«Ã½’s Annual Conference in New Orleans in June, the is available now at the .
A much-loved figure in the “Crescent City” and nationwide, Drew Brees was awarded MVP of Super Bowl XLIV, was named Sports Illustrated's Sportsman of the Year in 2010 and has been selected for the Pro Bowl five times. He attended Purdue University, where he earned a bachelor's degree in Industrial Management from the prestigious Krannert School of Management.
Brees’ success and contributions go well beyond the football field. In 2003 Drew and his wife Brittany established the , which advances research in the fight against cancer and provides care, education, and opportunities for children in need. The Foundation has helped rebuild schools, parks, playgrounds, and athletic fields in New Orleans, San Diego, and Purdue/West Lafayette, Ind. communities, raising more than $6 million for charitable causes and academic institutions.
