Learn to use online resources to help job seekers at the library in new course from 91´«Ã½ Editions

CHICAGO - 91´«Ã½ Editions announces a new facilitated eCourse on using jobs and employment reference tools on the Web. Diane Kovacs, a former government documents librarian and experienced online instructor, will serve as the instructor for a facilitated eCourse starting on May 2, 2011.
In this period of high unemployment, job seekers often rely on the help of librarians. This course uses hands-on activities, discussion and reading material to teach participants expert use of the wealth of jobs and employment research tools on the Web. After participating in this course, librarians will have a firm grasp not only on the tools that are available to them in aiding job seekers, but on how to find and develop new tools.

Diane Kovacs is president of Kovacs Consulting - Internet & Web Training. She has been a Web teacher and consultant for nearly 20 years. She designs and teaches Web-based and in-person courses for organizations and individuals, including UIUC GSLIS LEEP, ACRL, MLA, SLA, NEO-RLS, NTRLS, SEFLIN, WNYRLC and others. She has been designing and teaching Web-based and in-person MLA Approved CE Courses since 2001. Diane Kovacs is the 2000 recipient of the "Documents to the People" award from the Government Documents Roundtable of the 91´«Ã½. She is the author of several books, most recently "The Kovacs Guide to Electronic Library Collection Development: Essential Core Subject Collections, Selection Criteria, and Guidelines, 2nd Edition."
