CHICAGO — Four popular YA authors — Jay Asher, Sarah Dessen, James Kennedy and Carolyn Mackler — will join authors Walter Dean Myers, Chris Grabenstein and Julie Halpern at the Young Adult Library Services Association’s half-day Annual preconference, “Give Them What they Want: Reaching Reluctant Readers.” All six authors will reflect on how their work speaks to today’s teens and offer insights on how to turn those teens into active readers. The preconference takes place 12:30 to 4:30 p.m., June 24, in New Orleans. You do not need to register for 91´«Ã½’s Annual Conference to attend this workshop.
