Clinton Kelly to close ACRL 2011

CHICAGO - Bringing the Association of College and Research Libraries (ACRL) conference to a close on Saturday, April 2 from 11:00 a.m. – 12:15 p.m., is renowned fashion expert and author Clinton Kelly. Dedicated solely to meeting the interests of academic and research librarians, ACRL 2011 (held March 30 – April 2 in Philadelphia) is the premier event for academic libraries, drawing librarians, library support staff and library vendors from across the country and around the world.

Clinton Kelly is the co-host of TLC’s “What Not to Wear” and author of two books, “Freakin’ Fabulous: How to Dress, Speak, Behave, Eat, Drink, Entertain, Decorate and Generally Be Better than Everyone Else” and “Oh No She Didn’t: The Top 100 Style Mistakes Women Make and How to Avoid Them.” Specializing in helping individuals achieve personal and professional transformations, he will discuss why individuals are often averse to change and how to turn this fear into positive action.

Kelly will be signing his latest book, “Oh No She Didn’t,” immediately following the keynote presentation.

Born in Panama City, Panama, Kelly was raised in Port Jefferson Station, Long Island. He received his B.A. from Boston College and a Master’s in Journalism from Northwestern University. Prior to his own transformation to television stardom, Kelly was a New York City-based magazine editor and freelance writer, with positions as contributing editor to Marie Claire magazine and deputy editor of Mademoiselle magazine.
