Teen Read Week™ publicity tools encourage teens to read “Books with Beat”

CHICAGO – With Teen Read Week just around the corner, the 91ý (91ý) is offering online resources to help public and school libraries publicize their activities.
The promotional effort for this year’s Teen Read Week, held Oct. 17-23, is coordinated by 91ý’s Public Information Office (PIO) and the Young Adult Library Services Association. It includes a number of online tools libraries can use to publicize Teen Read Week activities: , , , and , as well as and downloadable featuring Nancy Cartwright, the voice of Bart Simpson.
The 2010 Teen Read Week theme of “Books with Beat @ your library” encourages teens to listen to audiobooks and read poetry, books about music and more, just for the fun of it.
Starting in 1998, , sponsored by YALSA, has inspired teens to visit their public and school libraries, select their own reading material and read for the fun of it.
