CHICAGO – Registration is now open for the 2025 American Association of School Librarians (AASL) National Conference. The conference, taking place Oct. 16-18, 2025, in St. Louis, Missouri,
convenes school library professionals for in-person learning and networking opportunities. Registration rates and promo codes can be found at

The AASL National Conference “is an incredible opportunity for school librarians to connect with peers, discover new and innovative practices, and revisit some tried and true favorites,” says conference co-chair Jennifer Sturge. “The 2025 conference in St. Louis offers a great chance to engage with leaders in our field and participate in dynamic sessions that meet the needs no matter your practice setting, school community, or time in the field. What I love is the added bonus of heading to the exhibit hall with all the hustle and bustle and finding something new to bring back that will change my practice for the better!”

Conference co-chair Carolyn Vibbert notes, “For me, a conference is all about the small moments. It's a phrase said in a session or a conversation in a hallway. Every conference moment has the opportunity for that spark that ignites your instruction, kindles a new professional connection, or warms your
librarian soul.” Arlene LaVerde, conference co-chair, says, “It feels like I was attending my first AASL National Conference yesterday, and now I am a co-chair. I am so excited about the learning, sharing, and collaborating that is going to take place. But I really can't wait to reconnect with friends and make new ones."

A one-of-a-kind conference, the 2025 AASL National Conference will feature daily keynotes, more than 140 concurrent sessions, author panels, research into practice sessions, poster presentations, more than 100 exhibitors, the best practice IdeaLab, author signings, and endless networking opportunities. Content provided at the conference will be rooted in AASL's "National School Library Standards for Learners, School Librarians, and School Libraries."

The AASL National Conference is the only national conference dedicated solely to the needs of school
librarians and their roles as educational leaders. A full conference registration provides school librarian attendees with the opportunity to invite their administrator to attend the conference at no extra cost. In addition, each attendee will receive complimentary meal vouchers for Friday and Saturday lunches and coffee each morning. Those communicating about the national conference are encouraged to use the hashtag #AASL25.

The American Association of School Librarians,, a division of the 91´«Ã½ (91´«Ã½), empowers leaders to transform teaching and learning.
