Catherine Hakala-Ausperk is a library administrator, advocate, speaker and trainer who believes the future of our libraries depends on strong, effective leadership. A frequent speaker at national and state conferences, staff days and workshops, Hakala-Ausperk is a 27-year public library veteran and an adjunct faculty member of Kent State University’s School of Library and Information Science. She has been a contributor and guest editor for 91´«Ã½-APA’s Library Worklife and is the author of "Be a Great Boss: One Year to Success," published in 2011 by 91´«Ã½ Editions. An Ohio Certified Public Librarian and an 91´«Ã½ Certified Public Library Administrator (CPLA), she is currently executive director of The Northeast Ohio Regional Library System (NEO-RLS)
