Choice podcasts named to Publisher Podcast Awards 2023 Shortlist

MIDDLETOWN, CT - Choice is pleased to announce the placement of two of its podcasts - The Authority File and Toward Inclusive Excellence - to the . We find ourselves among an impressive array of publishing and media companies that also submitted across categories, including the Financial Times, the BBC, Vice, Future, Vox, Foreign Policy, and The Atlantic.
Produced by , a leading UK-based podcast broadcasting news, views, and interviews with key figures from around the media world, The Publisher Podcast Awards are a celebration of the best podcasts in the publishing and media industry.
The Authority File podcast, which recently celebrated its 300th episode, was shortlisted in two categories; Best Commercial Strategy and Best B2B Podcast. Established in 2017, provides insight on the academic library market through conversations with representatives of some of the biggest and most innovative companies influencing it, as well as authors of insightful books, librarians who are transforming their field, and academics whose research is laying the groundwork for the future.
Toward Inclusive Excellence (TIE), the newest podcast from Choice, was shortlisted in the Best Hobbies & Special Interest category. TIE, produced by the Choice team and hosted by Editor-in-Chief Alexia Hudson-Ward, Associate Director of Research and Learning at MIT libraries, is part of the DEIA content vertical, which will commemorate its second anniversary this March. TIE interviews thought leaders from across academia and the professional community, including academic librarians, administrators, faculty, and authors to explore a range of topics to address DEIA through a pedagogical, scholarly, curatorial, and workplace/professional lens.
