MIDDLETOWN CT - Choice is pleased to announce the launch of a new content vertical, LibTech Insights, which provides pragmatic instruction and guidance around using and implementing library technology.
LibTech Insights will explore the day-to-day impact of library and education technology on academic librarians, faculty, researchers, administrators, and students. The vertical is anchored by a weekly updated sharing practical, tech-focused content, as well as informational podcasts, and webinars.
LibTech Insights (LTI) features expert contributors from the realms of libraries and technology, with support from an editorial advisory group including:
- Lisa Carlucci, Executive Director at Equinox Open Library Initiative
- Salwa Ismail, Associate University Librarian for Digital Initiatives/Information Technology, UC Berkeley
- Beth Sandore Namachchivaya, University Librarian at the University of Waterloo
LibTech Insights’ scope includes coverage of topics such as productivity, accessibility, discovery, operations, and content management.
Bill Mickey, Choice editorial director, remarked, “Library technology impacts all of our jobs, no matter what title we hold. LTI is committed to showcasing real-world solutions and guidance from practitioners across the academy. Importantly, we plan to incorporate DEIA principles in coverage and through a diversity of contributor voices and perspectives. You won’t find any techno-utopianism here, just practical insight from your colleagues.”
