Creating Inclusive and Engaging Online Library Instruction

Four-week course beginning on Monday, September 13, 2021

During this course, participants will develop an understanding of the key elements of effective and inclusive online instruction in all types of settings from tutorials to single-session instruction sessions to multi-week classes. Students will be introduced not only to tools that can make online instruction more effective and engaging, but also important educational theories and models that they can apply to restructure their instruction to better reach an online audience.

The instructor, Carli Spina, is the Head of Research & Instructional Services at the FIT Library.

Building Your UX Toolkit

75-minute live webinar on Wednesday, September 15, 2021

What’s in your User Experience (UX) Toolkit?

This webinar will cover essential, low-cost and low barriers techniques and tools that are foundation to improving user experience in library services and spaces, and collaboratively developing user-centered solutions.

Four- week course beginning on Monday, September 20, 2021

This course will teach student how to market their library to send positive messages, advocate, promote and engage with their users. Ideal for librarians and library staff of any type (public, academic, etc) that are responsible for or involved with promoting the library via social media and other engagement tools.

The instructor, Jennifer Blair, is the Head of User Services, Librarian and Assistant Professor at Azusa Pacific University.

Realizing the Untapped Potential of VR/AR for Libraries
