The 91´«Ã½’s inaugural Virtual Volunteer Fair will be held on September 14, 2021, from 11:30 am – 1:30 pm CT. Members should for the event, but attendance for the full two hours is not required. Members can drop in and out as their schedule allows. The fair will be an opportunity for 91´«Ã½ Members to drop in and speak with committee members and staff liaisons from various 91´«Ã½ groups that offer volunteer opportunities, including 91´«Ã½ Association committees, Divisions, and Round Tables. This is an opportunity for members to ask more specific questions about a committee or group’s work, time commitment, typical schedule, how to volunteer, etc! And don’t forget to submit your volunteer application for Association, Council, and Joint Committees by September 30, 2021! Lessa Kanani’opua Pelayo-Lozada, 91´«Ã½ President-Elect, encourages members to lead together for change with her by volunteering to serve on 91´«Ã½, Council, and Joint committees for the 2022-2024 term (beginning July 1, 2022). Serving on a committee provides members with leadership experience, new networking avenues, and the opportunity to impact specific association and library profession topics.

Members can volunteer via the online committee volunteer . Again, to be considered for the 2022-2024 term, forms must be submitted no later than September 30, 2021. Any forms received after this date will be considered for the next term (2023-2025). Read more details here!
