Wendy Cornelisen awarded the 2020 ASGCLA Leadership & Professional Achievement Award

91´«Ã½

Wendy Cornelisen lives and breathes innovation and collaboration for the public libraries in Georgia. In her role as Assistant State Librarian at the Georgia Public Library Service, she has led efforts to celebrate accomplishments and build capacity at every level. Building a state-wide ebook service for kids is the most recent example of her inclusive, systematic approach to solving the big problems that libraries face. With these accomplishments under her belt, there are numerous reasons why she is chosen as this year’s winner of the Leadership & Professional Achievement Award. She is recognized for her many years of accomplished service to the libraries of Tennessee and Georgia, and for her dedication and leadership in building a state-wide ebook service for Georgia’s youngest readers.

ASGCLA thanks COSLA, the Chief Officers of State Library Agencies, for supporting the 2020 Awards program. The Association for Specialized Government and Cooperative Library Agencies (ASGCLA), has been the premiere destination for 91´«Ã½ members to find information and build capacity to serve populations that are served by state library agencies, federal and armed forces libraries, libraries serving underserved populations, library cooperatives and library consultants. ASGCLA enhances the effectiveness of library service by advocating for and providing high quality networking, enrichment and educational opportunities for its diverse members.
