91´«Ã½
The International Interior Design Association (IIDA) and the 91´«Ã½ (91´«Ã½) are pleased to announce the recipients of the 2020 Library Interior Design Awards. This biennial competition honors excellence in library interior design and promotes examples of extraordinary design reflected through innovative concepts.
“When libraries are designed in novel and accessible ways, they become vital parts of their communities,” said IIDA Executive Vice President and CEO Cheryl S. Durst, Hon. FIIDA. “It’s an honor to be celebrating nine deserving projects that demonstrate the power of design within these essential spaces.”
Entries were reviewed by a committee of interior design and library professionals: Gregory Mickells, library director, Madison Public Library; Bob Pasicznyuk, executive library director, Douglas County Libraries; Joseph A. Rondinelli, principal, DesignThink Consulting; and Margaret Sullivan, principal, Margaret Sullivan Studio. "We were all impressed with the depth of the national and international submissions received this year,” said Rondinelli on behalf of the jury. “The winning projects embraced the needs of their communities with delight and are true examples of outstanding design.
