LLAMA webinar: Self-reflection vs. self-evaluation - Understanding your employees’ perceptions

91´«Ã½

LLAMA webinar helps you understand your employees better by adding self-reflection to their evaluations

At annual review time, many employees complete a self-evaluation, which is often the same evaluation sheet their supervisor will use. Employees’ self-perceptions are not always accurate, and self-evaluations do not offer much insight into why employees see themselves that way. Incorporating self-reflection into the evaluation process can help supervisors understand much more about where employees see their strengths, areas for improvement, struggles, and successes. Best of all, self-reflection can open up a more meaningful conversation about work performance and addresses discrepancies between a supervisor’s evaluation and an employee’s perceptions.

The Library Leadership and Management Association (LLAMA) will present “Self-reflection vs. self-evaluation: Understanding your employees’ perceptions,” on Wednesday, July 22, at 1:30-3:00 pm CT. This webinar will explore the advantages of self-reflection as part of employees’ evaluations.

Participants will learn:

  • The differences between self-reflection and self-evaluation
  • The pros and cons of using self-reflection in performance evaluations
  • The pros and cons of using self-evaluation in performance evaluations
