91´«Ã½ urges libraries to register as partners

WASHINGTON - The 91´«Ã½ (91´«Ã½) is pleased to announce that it has joined (NVRD) as a premier partner for 2020. 91´«Ã½ encourages libraries to in this important event, culminating in a nation-wide day of action on September 22, 2020.

Many libraries partner with local election agencies and community-based organizations to disseminate information, host events, and promote informed participation in the democratic process. With voter registration rates lower than average due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the call to action for libraries is clear.

To inform library workers about participating in NVRD, 91´«Ã½ will host a free webinar, “,” on July 23, 2020, at 2:00 p.m. Central Time. The one-hour webinar will feature a voter engagement expert from NVRD and librarians who will share their tips and experiences based on prior participation. .

In addition, 91´«Ã½ has released a for community leaders about libraries and voter engagement. Library staff can share the tip sheet with their local officials and decision makers to help them understand how they can partner with libraries.
