91´«Ã½

CHICAGO – The American Association of School Librarians (AASL) will hold its annual virtual membership meeting on Tuesday, June 2, at 6:00 p.m. Central. To RSVP, visit . The membership meeting requires no official vote of AASL membership, so all school library professionals are invited to attend.

The annual membership meeting provides a “state of the association” update from leadership. During the event, AASL President Mary Keeling will hold an open conversation on the association’s initiatives, programs, recognitions, and financial standing. School librarians are encouraged to submit questions for Keeling using the online form at . Questions must be submitted by 12:00 P.M. (noon) Central on Tuesday, June 2.

“What an amazing year it has been,” said Keeling. “We’ve had record-setting attendance at our national conference, approved a new strategic plan, restructured our board of directors, and brought school librarians together through a successful series of virtual town hall meetings. Join me at AASL’s virtual membership meeting to celebrate our year and look toward the future.”

Holding the annual meeting virtually allows a greater number of AASL members to attend, participate, and stay up to date with their association. The online format also allows all members of the profession to be informed on the work AASL undertakes as the only national professional membership organization focused solely on the needs of school librarians and the school library community.

The American Association of School Librarians, , a division of the 91´«Ã½ (91´«Ã½), empowers leaders to transform teaching and learning.
