91´«Ã½ awards additional 13 Library Census Equity Fund grantees

WASHINGTON — The 91´«Ã½ (91´«Ã½) and Capital One announced the names of 13 additional libraries receiving of $2,000 to bolster their service to hard-to-count communities and help achieve a complete count in the 2020 Census.
In November 2019, more than 500 libraries of all types had submitted applications for Library Census Equity Fund mini-grants. 91´«Ã½ mini-grants in December 2019 and an on April 9, based on available funding at the time. With support from Capital One, 91´«Ã½ is now awarding 13 additional mini-grants.
Across the country, libraries are in response to COVID-19. Residents can respond to the census through August 14.
Applications were reviewed by a selection committee established by 91´«Ã½’s : Tom Adamich, Patricia Ball, Heather Cousin, Susan Hildreth, and Cecilia Tovar.
The 13 new Library Census Equity Fund grantees are:
- Ainsworth Public Library (Williamstown, Vt.)
- Bolivar-Harpers Ferry Public Library (Harpers Ferry, W. Va.)
- Calhoun County Library (Hampton, Ark.)
- Jefferson County Rural Library District (Port Hadlock, Wash.)
- Kern County Library (Bakersfield, Calif.)
- Lantana Public Library (Lantana, Fla.)
- Morley Library (Painesville, Ohio)
- North Miami Beach Public Library (North Miami Beach, Fla.)
- Patchogue-Medford Library (Patchogue, N.Y.)
- Plum Creek Library System (Worthington, Minn.)
- Show Low Public Library (Show Low, Ariz.)
- Trails Regional Library (Warrensburg, Mo.)
- University of Nevada, Las Vegas University Libraries (Las Vegas, Nev.)
