91´«Ã½ opens registration for free webinar: Connecting Your Community to 2020 Census jobs

WASHINGTON - The 91´«Ã½ (91´«Ã½) is hosting a free webinar for library staff, to be held on November 6, 2019, at 12:00 noon Eastern Time.

The U.S. Census Bureau is currently hiring 500,000 temporary workers for the 2020 Census through an online application process. To achieve a complete count in the 2020 Census, the Census Bureau needs to recruit qualified and diverse applicants in every part of the country.

The webinar will feature a panel of speakers from the library community and the Census Bureau discussing how libraries can promote awareness of 2020 Census job opportunities. Additionally, 91´«Ã½ will introduce its newest resource for libraries on preparing for the 2020 Census, "”

Presenters will include:

  • Michelle Carnes, Division Chief, Chicago Public Library;
  • Sharon Lovett-Graff, Branch Manager, New Haven (CT) Free Public Library;
  • Tim Olson, Associate Director for Field Operations, U.S. Census Bureau; and
  • Gavin Baker, Deputy Director, 91´«Ã½ Public Policy & Advocacy office.

The webinar will be offered at no cost to attendees and is presented by 91´«Ã½’s Public Policy & Advocacy office.
