CHICAGO – Horses, baseball bats, and “The Greatest” are just a few of the highlights of the cultural tours during the 2019 AASL National Conference in Louisville, Kentucky. Attendees arriving prior to the official start of conference will have an opportunity to network with colleagues and learn more about the locale by registering for one of the tours showcasing “Bourbon City.” A full listing of tours and registration rates can be found at .

Cultural tours include:

• The Real Horse Lives of Louisville
  
  Wed., Nov 13, 11 a.m. – 5:15 p.m.
  
  Spend a day getting a close-up look at the world’s premier Thoroughbred horse farms. Every tour includes a drive by Calumet Horse Farm, visits to two farms including a walk through one of the region’s modern barns, and a tour of Keeneland Racecourse.
  
  
• Trolley Tour of Louisville
  
  Wed., Nov 13, 2 p.m. – 3:15 p.m.
  
  Thur., Nov 14, 10 a.m. – 11:15 a.m.
  
  Learn how there’s no place else quite like Louisville during a 75-minute narrated trolley tour. Attendees will be treated to interesting history and legends and guided to local favorites and a few hidden gems. The tour will also stop at Churchill Downs Racetrack for photo opportunities.
  
  
• Backstretch Breakfast Tour at Churchill Downs
  
  Thur., Nov. 14, 8:00 a.m. – noon.
  
  Spend a morning on a private tour of Churchill Downs Racetrack and get a behind-the-scenes view of Thoroughbred racing! Attendees will enjoy breakfast in the Horsemen's Track Kitchen and then get an up close and personal view of the horses, jockeys, trainers, and other connections who live the sport of horse racing.
  
  
• Float Like a Butterfly…Swing Like a Bat?
  
  Thur., Nov. 14, 9 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
  
  Start the day at the Muhammad Ali Center, a multicultural center with an award-winning museum dedicated to the life and legacy of Muhammad Ali. There, attendees will learn about “The Greatest’s” incredible life and his mission to promote respect, hope, and understanding. From there, the tour will visit the Louisville Slugger Museum & Factory. Attendees will be wowed “right off the bat” by the 120-foot replica of Babe Ruth’s 34-inch Louisville Slugger bat.
