The 2019 Cathleen Bourdon Award goes to Liz Bishoff

91´«Ã½

Liz Bishoff, is the 2019 recipient of the Cathleen Bourdon Service Award, presented by the Association of Specialized, Government, and Cooperative Library Agencies (ASGCLA). Owner of Liz Bishoff Group LLC, Ms. Bishoff has been a tireless leader and supporter of the ASGCLA Library Consultants Interest Group (LCIG) for many, many years and has hosted the popular and effective workshop for potential library consultants with her wonderful partner Nancy Bolt. These workshops have been an inspiration for so many, helping guide the way for good, talented people to share their skills for the betterment of libraries and the library profession. Ms. Bishoff was chosen for the award because of her leadership and innovative consulting practice developing digital services for libraries.

At the last transition of LCIG leadership, the division was suddenly left without a leader. Liz immediately stepped in and organized a meeting of consultants at the 2018 91´«Ã½ Annual Convention to assess the current state of the Interest Group and brainstorm ways to improve. She graciously ensured a smooth leadership transition.

Liz Bishoff will be honored at the ASGCLA Achievement Awards Ceremony on Saturday, June 22, 2019 from 8:30-10:00am at the 91´«Ã½ Annual Conference in Washington DC. All conference attendees are invited to attend the event. See additional information and a scheduler for the 2019 91´«Ã½ Annual Conference,
