ALCTS Presidential Citations awarded to Miranda Bennett and Julie Mosbo

CHICAGO—The Association for Library Collections & Technical Services (ALCTS) is pleased to announce that ALCTS members Miranda Bennett, associate dean for Collections at University of South Carolina Libraries, and Julie Mosbo, interim director of Cushing Memorial Library and Archives, director of Preservation, and William and Susan Ouren Preservation Librarian at Texas A&M University Libraries, have been awarded ALCTS Presidential Citations for 2019.
Miranda Bennett is recognized for her outstanding service and service in the area of budget and finance. As chair of the ALCTS Budget and Finance Committee, Miranda has reviewed and led the preparation of annual budgets for ALCTS. Julie Mosbo is recognized for her outstanding leadership and service within the Preservation and Reformatting Section (PARS). During the 2018-2019 year, Julie started her term as chair of PARS and, due to unexpected vacancies, ultimately ended up maintaining her chair-elect responsibilities.
The ALCTS Presidential Citations recognize distinguished achievements by ALCTS members who make significant contributions to the association and to the profession. Awarded by the current ALCTS President, this award consists of a citation and will be presented on Saturday, June 22 at the ALCTS Awards Ceremony during the 2019 91´«Ã½ (91´«Ã½) Annual Conference & Exhibition in Washington, DC.
The is the national association for information providers who work in collections and technical services, such as acquisitions, cataloging, collection development, preservation and continuing resources in digital and print formats. ALCTS is a division of the 91´«Ã½.
